Done deal: Chelsea FC capture Willian

Chelsea have confirmed that they have agreed terms with both Willian and Anzhi Makhachkala for the transfer of the attacking midfielder.

The Brazil international seemed set to sign for Tottenham after undertaking a medical at the club on Thursday, but Chelsea came in with a late bid.

The 25-year-old flew in to England last week, expecting to sign terms with Tottenham to replace Gareth Bale after initial conversations with Liverpool.

He even had a medical at Spurs' training ground, but was said to be 'considering his options', thought to be looking for Champions League football.

Chelsea were that option, eventually completing a transfer thought to be in the region of £30million, also offering him a slightly better financial package.

BID €37M:SEE How Chelsea hijack Willian From Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur fear missing out on Anzhi Makhachkala attacker Willian after Chelsea lodged a late €37 million bid for the Brazilian on Thursday.

The 25-year-old underwent a medical at Spurs on Wednesday and looked on course to become the north Londoners' fifth summer signing - and third club-record deal of the transfer window.

Tottenham remain hopeful a deal can be reached with Willian after agreeing a deal worth €35m with the Russian outfit, but Chelsea's increased offer trumps that agreed by chairman Daniel Levy and technical director Franco Baldini.

This latest twist signals the second change of focus from the midfielder, and his representatives, with Liverpool previously confident of securing Willian's signature after lodging a bid of €30m on Monday.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale's move to Liga giants Real Madrid is thought to be imminent, with Spurs pinpointing Roma winger Erik Lamela as an ideal replacement.

Madrid are hopeful of agreeing a world record fee worth in the region of €100m for Bale but Levy is still holding out for €116m despite the 24-year-old’s desire to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

See How This 19 Year Old Boy Risk Jail In Order To Meet Ronaldo?(SEE)

Would you risk being chased by the police and possible jail by running onto the pitch to grab a few seconds with your football hero?

Well that was the opportunity which presented itself to 19-year-old Ronald Gjoka during the International Champions Cup final between Real Madrid and Chelsea and he took it - even getting a hug from the player many think is one of the best in the world.

Undeterred by the trouble he'd get himself into, the huge Cristiano Ronaldo fan entered the field of play and approached his hero.

'Honestly, first thing was look straight, find Cristiano and don't look back. Just go,' Gjoka told Local10.

'I decided to add a little knee slide on it just for a little celebration. I think Ronaldo always does that celebration so I thought that he would find it funny, and he did, he gave it a little laugh.

'But after that, I gave him a big hug, told him you're one of my biggest idols, always followed you and I said, "Please, Ronaldo, don't let the cops take me," and that's when Ronaldo gave me a very big hug.'

Unfortunately though, the La Liga superstar was unable to help him and Ronald spent a night in jail having been arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct. However, given the chance, he says he'd do it again!

'I got the opportunity to talk to Ronaldo. It was a unique opportunity and I had to take it. It was worth the detention.'

The former Manchester United frontman scored twice in the 3-1 victory over Jose Mourinho's men six days ago.

Usain Bolt, Blessing Okagbare in the spotlight

Jamaica sprinter Usail bolt and Nigeria female sprinter blessing Okagbare on the spotlight again...

Two people will stand out in the sprint events at the 2013 IAAF World Championships when athletes begin to burn the tracks in Moscow on Saturday. Jamaica’s world record holder, Usain Bolt, and Africa’s fastest woman, Blessing Okagbare, will get more attention than necessary when they begin their quest for gold today.

Bolt has been there and done that having won five World Championships gold medals in 100m, 200m and the 4x100m at the 2009 and 2011 editions in Berlin and Daegu respectively. He, however, shocked everyone in Daegu when he jumped the gun and was disqualified in the 100m event, paving the way for compatriot Yohan Blake to take the top spot.

His maiden appearance at the championships in Osaka, Japan fetched him two silver medals in the 200m and 4x100m events.

Bolt has always been a delight to watch each time he appears at a major event. The expectations on everyone’s mind are to see him beat his major rivals – Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell, Walter Dix and Blake – and also to set a new world record.

He is the first man to hold both the 100m and 200m world records, twice setting the 100m record to put it at 9.58 seconds.

By providence, Powell, Gay and Blake are not in Moscow to give Bolt a run for his money, but the multiple Olympic gold medallist is not worried about their absence as he hopes to regain the 100m crown.

Blake is out with a hamstring injury and Gay and Powell have been banned after failing drugs tests.

“I went to the Olympics and now I’m back – back to regain my title,” Bolt said at a pre-tournament party in Moscow on Sunday.

“I’m even more focused than last time. So I’m going to get it done.

“I’m really motivated to go and show the world that even without nobody there I can still win. So I’m focused, and I’m ready to go.”

Okagbare is to Nigeria what Bolt is to Jamaica. She may yet not be the world’s fastest woman, her feats since the season started this year have been phenomenon.

The US-based sprinter had a poor outing at the last World Championships in Daegu, finishing fifth in 11.12 seconds behind American Camelita Jeta, Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown, Kelly-Ann Baptiste of Trinida & Tobago and 2012 Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica.

Okagbare disappointed her fans at the 2012 Olympics in London when she finished last in the final which was won by Fraser-Pryce. The Nigerian track star had impressed everyone at pre-Olympic events, raising hopes of a medal for the team.

She, however, put the shame of the games behind her as she dominated her rivals at the same venue – Olympics Stadium in Strafford – and setting a new African record of 10.79. Her 10.86 seconds in the heat had broken Gloria Alozie’s 14 -year old record of 10.90.

Nigeria’s long jump record holder and an official of the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, Yusuf Ali, believes Okagbare can further lower her time in stiff competition in Moscow.

“I don’t have a doubt about that. She has been consistent with the way her time is going down in recent time,” Ali said.

“Her performance will also act as a form of motivation for the rest of the team.

“It’s been long since Nigerian athletes won medals at the World Championships, but we can get back to winning ways in Moscow.”

Okagbare will be featuring in four events in Moscow. While she will compete in the 100m with Gloria Asunmu, she will be the only Nigerian in the 200m and the long jump events. She also completes the women’s 4x100m relay team.

She stands to get $60,000 if she wins gold in the individual events. A silver medal will fetch her $30,000, while bronze is rewarded with $20,000.

There are also cash prizes for the fourth place to the eighth position, ranging from $15,000 to $4000.

Beyond these, the IAAF has concluded plans with sponsors to reward a world record breaker with $100,000.

With the women’s 100m world record at 10.49 seconds and the long jump at 7.52m, there is doubt Okagbare will hit the jackpot.

“I don’t see her setting a world record; it’ll be asking for too much from her,” athletics coach, Tobias Igwe, said.

Igwe, popularly called Toblow, trained several of Nigeria’s track stars, including the Davidson Ezinwa and Mary Onyali.

He said, “Okagbare will finish in the medals range but I cannot predict if she will win the gold. Her performance in London, where she set a new African record, has only put her at par with the Olympic champion, Fraser-Pryce. Anything can happen at the Championships in Moscow.”

Toblow lamented the rating of the men’s team, saying they are nowhere near being rivals to Bolt in the 100m and the relay.

“Ogho-Oghene Egwero is the only hope in the sprint, but with personal best of 10.16, I’m not tipping him to be in the final,” Toblow said.

See How Lionel Messi Bought His Neighbours House Because They Were Making So Much Noise.

Lionel Messi is not known to be an extravagant footballer ,misse going to lent  this neighbour of his must have push him to the wall

Lionel Messi simply  dealt with the problem of having annoying neighbours by simply buying their house, so that his new boy baby and wife we have some peace.

According to a report in Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo, Messi is currently living in the Pedralbes area of Barcelona with his wife and son, where they bought an apartment a little over a year ago. However, they are only there as a temporary measure while their house in the Castelfedells neighbourhood is being renovated.

As a result, the neighbours poor behaviour increased, including a lot of noise and loud music at all hours, but that wasn’t the worst of it. To make a bit of extra cash, they started renting out the house to interested fans and celebrity spotters who wanted to get a look at the football superstar.

His neighbours, who were having problems meeting the demands of their mortgage, offered to sell their house to Messi, but the Argentine wasn't interested.

When he built a wall to stop this from happening, they threatened to report the Messis for making the wall too high.

As a result, Messi decided to just take their house, as they originally suggested, just to get some peace and quiet for the price of about a million euro.

I Will Fight To Get Rooney Till The Last Day

Chelsea fc manager Jose Mourinho insists he will fight until ‘the last day’ to sign Wayne Rooney. Chelsea have had two offers rejected by Manchester United, chelsea made£25million bid made on Sunday but was rejected by United.

‘There is no time limit on it. ‘We have identified the player as one we would like to have with us. We have done it in an ethical way and we are going to do that until the last day. Mourinho said,,,We are doing things legally, making the official bid directly to the club.

‘There have been no direct relations with the player, no contact — absolutely nothing. So let’s see if things change.’ Rooney has told manager David Moyes that he wants to go, but United insist he is not for sale.

I Have Tried To Play Like Ronaldo

Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins  has revealed that he tried very hard to develop his skill and play like Ronaldo de Lima during his early days in Italy. Martins, who started his professional football in Europe with Italy’s Serie C side Reggiana said in an interview with FIFA.com that he was so captivated by the touches of the Brazilian legend that he wanted to be like him.

He said, “I remember when I was a child in Nigeria, when I used to play in the street for fun I didn't know any players, but when I came to Europe and I went to Italy, seeing Ronaldo — you know: Brazilian Ronaldo — playing, I was thinking ‘I want to play like him’.”

Even though the Nigerian never got to play alongside the Brazilian, he later had the opportunity to play for Inter Milan where he had the closest view of Ronaldo.

The Seattle Sounders attacker who is well known for his trademark backflips said the style was adopted on the streets of Lagos before he honed his football skills.

“I learnt to do the backflip in Nigeria because I was just doing it for fun, but all of a sudden I became really good at it.

“I was doing it with friends, and they told me, ‘Now you’re playing soccer. Why can’t you simply score goals and do the flip?’ They said, ‘Try it. It’s going to be fun. I think people will really love it.’ All of a sudden I started doing it, and now people love it.”

The former Newcastle attacker who last featured for the Super Eagles in a 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Kenya in March says he has found it quite a challenge playing in the American league.

“It’s a bit like England. The competition in MLS is strong and they’re physical as well. And the league is getting much better, and every team out there wants to win, so we have to be ready,” Martins added.

“When I first came to Seattle I couldn’t believe the support they had.  They have a lot of fans. I’d rate Seattle’s fans at 99 per cent: They’re some of the best supporters I’ve had since I’ve been playing.

Who let the Drog go?Drogba Return to torments Wenger by making it 15 goals in 15 games

Arsene Wenger needed any reminder of quite possibly the most costly transfer mistake of his career in charge at Arsenal, Didier Drogba provided it at the Emirates on Sunday.
Weapon of mass destruction is what i call him....Drogba's late double against Arsenal to clinch the Emirates Cup for Galatasaray improved the striker's astonishing record against the Gunners to 15 goals in 15 matches.

In fact, in the 1175 minutes that Drogba has played against Arsenal, he has scored on average one goal every 78 minutes and 20 seconds.

It is the stuff of nightmares for Wenger, who once rejected the chance to sign Drogba for just £100,000.
During promising Ivorian's four-year period at Le Mans from 1998 to 2002, Wenger had his scouts keep an eye on him.
Wenger decided against a move, though, and Drogba eventually moved to Ligue 1 club Guingamp at the age of 23 for £80,000.
